First Presbyterian Church has been partnering with Sports Outreach since 2017 on a local and international level. Sports Outreach seeks to restore hope and transform lives through sharing the Gospel and alleviating human suffering.  Their main medium for ministry...sports.  Using a simple ball, bat, or game as a platform to gather people together, have fun, encourage them, all while weaving in the message of the Gospel!  In the Lynchburg area, Sports Outreach hosts multi-sport camps in the summer and "clubs" during the academic year emphasizing the sports of soccer, chess, and basketball.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

• Participate as a youth (elementary through 5th grade) in soccer, basketball, or chess club.
• Participate as a volunteer at a club.
• Participate as a youth (elementary through 5th grade) in multi sport summer camp.
• Participate as a volunteer at a multisport summer camp.
• Donate new or gently used sports equipment.
