VBS Theme: Camp Firelight: Camp Adventure with God

June 3 - 7, 2024
8:30am - 12pm
ALL kids 3 years old (by May 15) through rising 5th graders are invited to go on an adventure with God at Camp Firelight VBS! Children MUST be potty trained and bathroom independent to attend. The 4 year-old age group has reached capacity so registration is closed for this age group.
ALL youth (rising 6th graders through high school) are invited to serve as youth helpers serving as older role models for the younger kids and support to the adult leaders.
Registration is LIVE until April 30 for all grades and ages EXCEPT the 4 year-old class. We have reached capacity for this age group.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Worship Cart
We have created worship carts that are full of Biblically-oriented activities and even some fidget toys for children to explore in their seats during worship. The Worship Carts are located in the Narthex as you enter the Sanctuary!
Worship Workshop
Children ages 4 through 2nd grade are invited to learn about worship: what it is, why we worship, special Sundays in the church year like Baptism Sundays, and build the foundation of their own faith community in our Worship Workshop class following the Children's Moment. Children will be brought back to the Narthex lobby after worship to connect with their families!

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Our Sunday School classes for preschool and elementary school aged children are designed to help children explore Bible stories, characters, and Biblical lessons through music, play, storytelling, art, and more!

Children will be divided into into three age groups:
- Ks & 1st graders, Room 205 (2nd floor)
- 2nd & 3rd graders, Room 210 (2nd floor)
- 4th & 5th graders, Room 212 (2nd floor)
NURSERY CARE
Nursery care is available for all infants and toddlers ages three and under for Sunday worship, educational opportunities and for identified special events. The nursery, located in Room 8 on the ground floor of the church, will be available from 9am - 12pm on Sundays.
The nursery is most easily accessed from the Weekday School entrance in the rear of the building.
The FPCLY nursery is staffed with loving and committed employees to help provide comfort and a peace of mind as you worship and grow with other adults.
FPC Weekday School
The FPC Weekday School operates as one of the most vibrant ministries of FPCLY and has been that way since its beginning! This school year marks the 75th year of operation providing Christian-based educational opportunities for children in our community. With 95 students ages 1 to 5 and 18 staff filling classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds, God’s love and joy abound as the next generation is inspired for Christ.
