Katie started her FPC Weekday School career in August 2019 teaching in the Toddler classroom. She was hired as the Director in July 2021. We are excited to see her experience in the classroom and with our Weekday School families blossom in this new role!
Education/Work Experience: B.S. in Sociology / Minor in Family Studies from James Madison University. GO DUKES!

Hobbies/Interests: I love the beach, traveling, spending time with my family, camping, listening to podcasts or audiobooks, coffee, playing with our 3 dogs, dreaming about preschool crafts and bulletin boards :)
Why FPC Weekday School?
Enrolling at the Weekday School was the first and best decision we made for our own kids when we moved to Lynchburg. Our family has been loved, ministered to and served in these hallways and now given the opportunity, I get to pay that forward to the next family. I work alongside incredible teachers and staff to cultivate a love of learning, a heart to explore and yearning for God in our students—nothing could be a greater blessing and call on my life.

I grew up in Virginia Beach but have lived most of my adult life out west in Oregon and Colorado.
