Middle School Youth Group
The Middle School (6th - 8th) and High School (9th - 12th) youth gather on Sunday evenings during the school year, as well as for special events and outings during the summer.
Youth Group will meet every Sunday from 4:30 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. unless we are doing an off-site activity that is time sensitive or far away. Dinner is provided by parent volunteers and youth are asked to bring $3.00 to offset the cost of the meals.
Meggan Farwell (Associate Pastor for Christian Education and Youth) along with committed parents and volunteers share a vision for youth ministry which includes a balance between fellowship, faith- nurture, service, and of course FUN!
This year we will be following a four week rotation:
• First Sunday - Fellowship Activity for all youth (Middle and High School)
• Second Sunday - Middle School only at the church
• Third Sunday - Service Project for all youth (Middle and High School)
• Fourth Sunday - High School only at the church
Varieties of activities are possible from dodge ball, kickball, and trips to Smith Mountain Lake, to service projects at Presbyterian Homes and Westminster Canterbury. No matter what is done we have a lot of fun and enjoy getting to know one another and God better.
